A quiet wedding was solemnized in
St. Peter's Church; Lucknow, on July
31st, the' Rev. E. 0. Gallaher officiat-
ing, when •Mies Mary Elizabeth Mole,
only daughter of Wm. Mole, reeve of
West Wawanosh, and. Mrs. Mole, be -
'came the bride of Mr. Wm. Cook, son
.of' Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cook of
West Wn awanosh. Mr: BensoMole,
brother of ,the bride, and 'Mrs. Herb
McQuillin, a sister of the groom were
witthesses.. Following the 'ceremony
the wedding party' motored to the
home of the' bride's parents, near
Dungannon, where` a wedding dinner
was enjoyed. The young- couple will
make their home on the groom's
farm, corner .of the Goderich Road
and 8th Concession. '

The funeral of Mrs. Chartes Robb
who're tragic' death on July 316t, so
shocked the people of ,the village and
surrounding country, was held
on
Sunday afternoon, August 3rd. Ser-
vice was held:at the house and grave
by the Rev. C. C. Keine, of Dungan-

While Prov. Constab'.e .Johnston
of Kitchener 'and another officer were
motoring to Walkerton on Friday
last they encountered car trouble on
the detour near Mildamy and stopped
to 6x it, says the Walkerton herald
and Times. Another car a short dis-
tance Away was' also in difficulties,
'and a garageman was engaged in
making adjustments. When the. driv-
er of the latter bus saw the eoPs, he
'held 'up a bottle and shouted, "Come
an, boys, we will help you." •
The officers went up, took the hot -
;le out of his hand, seized some other
liquor • found in the care and brought
him and 'his 'companion on to ,Walk-
erton, where they were ushered be-
fore, Magistrate Walker.
Alex A. Gillespie of Hamilton was
charged with having ligior. illegally,
!and his •partner,
James Grant, ''Also
of Ramiton, was charged • with con-
suming illegally. 'On pleading guilty.
Gillespie was -assessed $105.50 And
his liquor, permit cancelled, while
Grant was mulcted $15:50 or in de-
fault of payment the usual ;.nil terms
