Clinton News Record, 2013-11-06, Page 7Wednesday, November 6, 2013 • News Record 7 Thanks to donors for penny sale success Shirley Carter The Clinton Public Hospital Auxiliary would like to sincerely thank the many businesses and individuals for their gen- erous donations to the C.P.H. Auxiliary's 59th Annual Penny Sale held September 19 to 28, 2013. We had 381 outstanding gift items and gift certificate choices for those ticket purchasers attending the 2013 Penny Sale. There were also 37 very generous cash donors which added to the success of our Penny Sale during the nine days of ticket sales, as well as the drawing and giving out of the prizes on Draw Day. We were fortunate, once again, to have the use of St. Paul's Angli- can Church Parish Hall and we thank St. Paul's for the support given to us. Many thanks to the girls at the Town Hall who daily put out and took in our posters. The Penny Sale was a great success in 2013 Many willing hands helped in the canvassing and collecting of items, set- ting up and staffing of raising gross pro- ceeds of $8,200. In the past five years the CPH Auxiliary has used funds raised by the Penny Sale and other fund raising ventures during the year to purchase the following items: IV pump and two Dynamap monitors 110 with stand for ER, a centrifuge and two phlebotomy trays and carts for the lab, Lazy Boy Tranquility sleep chair and mobile ward reclining chair for the Palliative Care room, three reclining chairs with IV poles and a Dynamap Pro Care 400 with IV pole for second floor surgery and chairs for the second floor waiting room, Locum Suite M. C. furnishings for visiting doctors, patient lounge chair, Versacare VC255 patient bed and bariatric commode Chair for the first floor, tornado washer for OR, patient care tables for patient rooms and a vital signs monitor. Most recently funds raised were used to purchase fur- nishings for the quiet room. CPH Auxiliary's total of funds raised and donations from 2007-2012 was $94,719. The proceeds of $8,200 from the 2013 Penny Sale will go along with other funds raised during 2013 and will be used to make further purchases of needed equipment for CPH. Thank you once again to all who have given their support. Without the support of the public and the volunteers, all this would have been impossible.
