to perform in Bayfield

If you enjoy Celtic music you
might be interested to know that the
Celtic music band, RUNA, will be
performing at the Bayfield Town
Hall on Monday, August 4.
RUNA performs contemporary
Celtic music and consists of vocalist
and step -dancer, Shannon Lambert -
Ryan from the U.S., guitarist, Fionan
de Barra from Ireland, percussion-
ist, Cheryl Prashker from Canada,
multi -instrumentalist, Dave Curley
from Ireland and fiddler Maggie
Estes from the U.S.
Last year RUNA won numerous
awards at the 2013 Irish Music
Awards including Top Group (US,
IRE, EU, UK) and Top Traditional
Group in a Pub, Festival, Concert.
They also received a nomination for
Best Female Vocalist.
On June 20 RUNA released their
fourth album, "Current Affairs" and
critics have given the album much
praise. According to Irish Philadel-
phia, the album is "a fresh, exciting
collection that sounds like nothing
else you hear in the world of Celtic
music. They're real originals." Guest
artists performing on the album
include Grammy award-winning
artists, Jeff Taylor, Ron Block and
Buddy Greene.
