While the weather wasn't the nicest
this past Sunday, the majority of the
rain held off for another 10 race card of
live harness racing at Clinton Raceway.
Only five weeks remain on the 15 week
season with great events planned for
each week over the next month.
In the first race of the day, Ninette B,
leaving from post position one, got away
fifth and managed a first place finish as
the post time favourite for owner Jane
Kerr, and trainer Denis Kerr of Goderich.
She was driven by Trevor Henry.
This would be Henry's first of five win's
on the day, followed by two seconds, a
third and a fourth, leaving him to only
finish out of the money once, during the
days drives.
Race four saw another Goderich owned
and trained filly, Larjon Lachlan by Larry
Lane come out on top by a head over post
time favourite Gramps Girly in 2:03.4.
Girlwithagrin left from post position five
for a gate to wire finish in the fifth, for
owner trainer Randy Henry of Clinton,
driven by Trevor Henry.
It was a battle in the stretch in race six for
Kennairn Crystal and Carlynda Hanover
finishing first and second, respectively
for owners Kris Haskell of Goderich, and
Jim Watt of Clinton.
L H Hollys Cam rounded out the tractor
for owner Lois Anderson of Clinton in
race seven.
Live harness racing continues this long
holiday weekend at 1:30pm on Sunday
August 3. Come and support the Huron
Perth AAA Lakers with their race day
fundraiser and as always laugh and
learn between the races with the Super
Sunday Show. Ontario Sires Stakes are
back with three year old filly pacers.

Raceway offers live streaming by visiting
