Side Street Antiques Buy &
Sell is the new word on the
street in Clinton. Located at
12 Isaac Street, this hip, new
store features antique and
used furniture, collectibles,
lighting and pictures and is
an ideal spot for anyone who
is interested in reasonably
priced vintage home decor.
The store is owned and oper-
ated by Nina Turner from
Clinton and Rob Bell from
Londesborough.
Turner, who purchases her
items through private buy-
ing, has been in the antique
business for 10 years. She is
also the owner of ReLook
Nook and Treasures Past &
Present in Clinton. ReLook
Nook, which opened three
years ago, is a consignment
shop that sells high-end
clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry
and small pieces of furniture
and attracts customers from
Goderich, Exeter, Stratford,
Wingham, Sarnia, Cam-
bridge and Hamilton. As
Turner explains, ReLook
Nook is an eclectic store
great for "one-stop shop-
ping." Treasures Past & Pre-
sent opened seven years ago
and sells antiques,
collectibles and furniture.
Also, in the same building as
ReLook Nook, Turner offers
dry cleaning services for
Bluewater Cleaners in
Goderich and is currently
Clinton's Sears catalogue
agent.
Like Turner, Bell has also
been in the antique business
for some time. He has been
collecting for over 10 years
and buying and selling items
for over 5 years. Over the
years, Bell has done most of
his purchasing at flea mar-
kets in the Goderich and
Owen Sound areas and has a
special interest in
collectables.
Now that Turner and Bell
have opened Side Street
Antiques, Turner is excited to
be able to offer large pieces of
antique furniture and hopes to
attract the same kind of
audience that ReLook Nook
and Treasures Past & Present
attract. As Turner says, she is
simply "branching out" by
opening Side Street Antiques.
The store's summer hours are
Tues., - Sat., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
and by appointment and it can
also be found on Facebook.
Stock is rotated frequently at the
store so it is recommended that
interested customers check
back regularly.
