On Fri., June 27 and Sat.,
June 28 Groves TV & Appli-
ance Centre celebrated their
grand re -opening at their new
location on 272 Huron Street.
The celebration included var-
ious sales on appliances and
bedding and a charity BBQ
where all proceeds went to
Clinton Minor Ball.
Many people who attended
the grand re -opening were
impressed by the updates of
the new location. As the store
manager, Amanda Blenk-
horn, explains, "the new loca-
tion has a better lay out than
the original location," To
begin with, the store is com-
pletely on one level now and
"fully wheel chair accessible,"
ILJ
Blenkhorn says. The new
location also features a live
Bosch kitchen display which
helps customers visualize
their potential future kitchen.
Customers say that they are
also impressed by the good-
sized parking space that is
now available at the store.
Groves TV & Appliance
was first started by Art
Groves in 1935. In 1970, Art's
son, Clayton, took over the
business and, in 2009, Clay-
ton's son, Dan, took over the
company. The company has
grown steadily over the past
eight decades and providing
top quality products while
offering friendly, personal
service has always been its
main goal. In 2011, Groves
TV & Appliance opened a
new business, SleepMatters,
located at 300 Suncoast
Drive, East in Goderich.
Together the two stores aim
to provide the region with
the latest in electronics,
appliances and bedding.
The company also strives
to give back to its commu-
nity. In 2011, it donated
$7,500 to the Central Huron
Community Complex and
$2,000 to the Goderich
