Christmas writings by grade 2 students at Huron Christian School
Karin: Christmas is special
because Jesus was born in a stable
and that there was a big star that
would lead the wise men to the sta-
ble. And the wise men had frankin-
cense, myrrh, and gold and that
there were angels of the Lord, who
appeared to the shepherds out in
the fields, keeping watch over their
flocks at night. And the shepherds
were terrified, but the angel said to
them, "Do not be afraid. In the
town of Bethlehem, a Saviour has
been born to you. And he is Christ
alone. And he is the Son of God.
And you will find him wrapped in
cloths and lying in a manger."
Thomas: What makes Christmas
so special: The presents, the giving,
the getting, the beauty, the loving,
and the presents. The cross repre-
sents Jesus dying and why I'm talking
about it is because Jesus died on it
when he grew up. The manger is
where Jesus was born. He was born
not that long after they got to the sta-
ble. Christmas is special because
Jesus was born. And all these things
are special because if Jesus didn't
come, we wouldn't be anywhere.
Elise: Christmas is special because
Jesus was born. God talked to the
wisemen in a dream and said go
back to your hometown a different
way. Herod wants to kill the newbom
King. If Jesus wasn't born, we would
just be sinful. When Jesus was born,
He did not cry. Jesus was perfect. He
did not sin. Another thing is we don't
like everybody. We hate at least one
person. Jesus likes everybody. Jesus
was bom in a stable. Most babies are
born in a crib, but he was bom where
animals eat out of. He's different
from most people.
Emily: Christmas is special
because God send His son Jesus to
earth to die for us. Born in a stable,
not in an inn because there was no
room; they were all full. And he gave
us JOY, LOVE, and PEACE, so we
should be thankful.
Eli: Christmas is so special
because there is a story upon it. God
sent an angel named Gabriel.
Gabriel went to Mary. Mary was
afraid, but the angel said, Do not be
afraid. I bring you Good News. You
are going to have a baby and you
shall name him Jesus. And when
Jesus grew up, he died upon a cross
and went into a grave, and on the
third day, he rose again and con-
quered sin and that is what Christ-
mas is all about.
Kennedy: Christmas is special
because God sent his Son in a stable
to save our sins. The wisemen went
to Christ Jesus in the stable. They
gave gifts to Jesus. He is the King of
Kings. He is not a normal person, he
is Christ the King.
Caitlin: Christmas is so special
because my family gets to spend
time together and Jesus was born
and died on the cross to save the
world. Jesus gave us joy.
Kate: Christmas is special because
Jesus is born in a stable and usually
babies aren't like that. They are usu-
ally born in a hospital or at their
house. Angels are singing with
praise to God and Jesus because
Jesus is born. Also, we can spend
time with family having Christmas
parties and to celebrate that Jesus is
born.
Asher: Christmas is special to me
because there were angels praising
God behind the stable, and that Jesus
was not born in a kingdom, but in a
manger. If you were born in a man-
ger and you were a normal person,
you wouldn't have any worth. You
would just be a normal baby. Jesus is
the King of Kings, not a worthless
baby.
William: Christmas is special
because Jesus was born for us and
died on the cross for our sins. If we
didn't have Christmas, we wouldn't
have Jesus and he saved us. We can
celebrate that he came for us and he
always forgives us.
Wes: Christmas is special for us
because it reminds us about Jesus
dying on the cross and coming as a
baby in a stable instead of a big pal-
ace. He's not a fancy king that likes
everything -gold and makes people
pay everyday -He's a King filled with
joy. He kept his promises and He still
keeps them. He doesn't trickus.
Aaron: Christmas is special
because Jesus was born and died on
the cross and gave us love and joy
and peace and kindness for our
hearts. He gives us presents, and God
gave us his present Jesus, and if He
didn't give us Jesus, people wouldn't
know about Him and heaven.
Christmas writings by grade 4/5 students at Huron Christian School
Hail the Baby
Hail the baby born at night
Hail the star, oh so bright
This little baby, the son of God
God the real one, Santa the fraud
Three wise men traveled from afar
following the beautiful star
They passed through Judea, and were told a lie
But they were told the truth, by the God on high
Some shepherds watching o'er their flocks
Stared up high, frozen in shock
For angels came and said to them
"You will find a baby in Bethlehem"
The shepherds came, they gave him praise
The shepherds who watched
their sneep aii graze
The wise men brought gifts for the child so pure
These gifts were gold, frankincense and myrrh
Hail the baby born at night
Hail the star oh, so bright
This little baby the son of God
God the real one, Santa the fraud

My Christmas Poem
Christmas has finally come
Presents presents I hope we get some
Jesus has come to save
He died to save us and was put in a cave
Jesus never sin and came
We should not sin and do the same
He was born on this dark frosty night
and he is all right
The hay is poking him, it is really hard
Look we have a Christmas card
Mary is happy for what was sent
and all the time she spent.

Christmas Poem
An angel of the Lord appeared to Mary
to tell her of great news
the donkey had to carry
Herod shall loose
The wisemen came from afar
they traveled North, West, South and East
to see the shining star
with Herod they had a great feast
The shepherd had a great scare
The angels brought great news
to see the baby there
the angels gave some clues.
The wisemen told Herod of a new baby king
Herod was furious
The wisemen brought gifts to bring
The wisemen were very serious
Only animals to see
Jesus is born
The greatest birth in history
But then it was torn.

Christmas Day
On Christmas day, Jesus was born.
On Christmas day, no need to feel forlom.
It's a day of good news,
You just have to choose
We worship and praise our Saviour this day.
He came to take our sins away.
We worship and adore,
He makes our hearts to soar.
This child in a manger lay,
He is now the King of Kings today.
We can still hear the angels sing,
"Glory to the newborn King."

ABC Christmas Poem
Jesus was born on a starry Christmas night,
With a bright star that produced a lot of light.
Wisemen and shepherds saw the holy child,
He did not cry for he was mild.
God gave us his son.
As for sin he had none,
Jesus born in a manger as a bed,
Straw was the only pillow for his head
Angels came in a glorious choir,
Above the shepherds they rose higher and higher
They went in search for the child.
When they saw him he smiled.

Real Christmas Joy
Candy canes and hot chocolate are fun
But Christmas is about the Holy One
Christmas is celebrating Jesus' birth
That reminds us how much Jesus is worth
Going to the church on Christmas Day
But on the straw dear Jesus lay
Dark, dirty and cold
Jesus' presents were frrank-
ensens , mi an go
The greatest gift of all
Born in a cattle stall
Joy, Noel we sing and praise
To our infant King, the song we raise.

True Meaning of Christmas
No one knew the true meaning,
Of the Christmas story,
Everyone was leaning,
towards a different glory.
One door, two doors, three door, four door,
They opened oh so many doors
but ho one said yes
But one did, what could ask for more.
Oh how the stable was such a mess.
Shepherds were greeted by angels singing
Oh, ow they were terrified,
By the end of the song their ears were ringing
Glory to God in the highest they were not terrified
Wise men saw a star,
So they started packing.
To go afar,
and would not start slacking.

Christmas Day
On Christmas morn.
The saviour was born
Three chieftains saw a star.
Said we should follow it far.
There were shepherds in the field that night
all the sudden there was a great light.
It was an angel
He told us to go to a stable.
Look at the star
we have followed it very far.
To this place,
Look, a face!
The glory of the Lord.
Not that king of of hord
Glory to God in the highest
He is definitely the mightiest.

Jesus is the Reason
Jesus is the reason
We celebrate the Christmas season
Born in a lowly manger
A trough where the animals were fed
The wisemen travelled from afar
By watching the Bethlehem star
Jesus was born for you and me
What a wonderful gift that can be.
There a precious baby lay.
Pillowed softly upon the hay.
