He wears shorts and a short -sleeved shirt to stay cool and he sips his lemonade." Matty "Santa goes to Florida for a vacation. He goes swimming in a bathing suit that's red and white because Santa loves red and white. He plays on the beach too" Peyton "Santa stays and makes presents at home all Christmas. Sometimes he stops making presents to take a break and the elves take over, but he has to get back to work quick." Carlie "Santa doesn't take a vacation. His vacation is delivering the presents. That's his vacation and his job. I don't know if he would take a break" Reese "Santa takes a break and feeds the reindeer carrots on the grass. The grass is in his house at the North Pole. After they eat the carrots he gets back to work" Kaylee "Santa goes in the water at the Goderich beach because it's very warm there and the North Pole is cold. I saw him there in the summer. He was wearing a bathing suit. He was fat and had a big white beard" Bailey "Santa goes on a holiday to the beach. He goes to the Clinton beach. He plays in the water. The reindeer build sand castles while Mrs. Claus stays at home and watches the elves so they don't stop working." Brynn "Santa sleeps at his home while Mrs. Claus bakes a lot to be ready for Christmas. He wakes up and has to find food quick." Brook "If I were Santa Claus, I would go some place warmer like here. We have beaches here he could go to, but he wouldn't swim, he would just hang around with someone at the beach. Mrs. Claus would take care of the elves" Austin "Santa would fly his sled in a circle for his vacation because it's really fun to do. Mrs. Claus would want to go but Santa wouldn't let her because he needs to practise flying and she would make him fly slow" Let's create Students at North Woods Elementary School were certainly getting into the Christmas spirit thanks to that massive dump of snow last week. It allowed for all types of creativity out on the playground. From left: Lexus Jenken, Madison Bragan, Alex Reid, Payton Piper and Olivia Van Beek. King said it was a gift from her father's work Christmas party one year and it's just something she's always kept. When she grew up and established her own career, the toy would always be home waiting for her in her bed when she returned. One of King's more memorable Christmases was the year that it was so warm and green in December that she convinced her family to have a campfire for Christmas. The community of Fordwich is still talking about it, she said, for a number of reasons. Not only did the rare Christmas campfire go ahead, but, due to a combination of a lack of space in the house and wanting to take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather, King slept in a tent in the yard. Her sleeping quarters were visible from the highway — an unusual sight in the winter — and those in Fordwich still talk about it to this day.
