The municipalities have been investigating the feasibility of developing a natural gas supply to the constituents of the municipalities. To supply the gas a number of options are being considered. Councils of the municipalities have agreed to create a service corporation to advance the extension of a natural gas service to this region of Ontario. In accordance with Regulation 599/06 under the Municipal Act, the municipalities must consult with the public about the proposal to establish the corporation before establishing the corporation. The Open House will provide information about potential alternatives to deliver natural gas to the municipalities, environmental constraints and regulatory requirements. Representatives from the municipalities, AMEC Environment and Infrastructure (AMEC) and Energy Fundamentals Group (EFG) will be in attendance to discuss the Project, answer questions and record any comments. Your feedback is valued and welcomed at the Open House or at any other point throughout the process. For those interested about receiving information about the Project, a sign-up sheet will be available. Sessions are being held in each municipality involved, however, you are welcome to attend any of the sessions. Parking is not permitted on any street within the Township of Huron -Kinloss between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., from November 1st to April 30th. Violators may have their vehicles towed. Neither the Township, nor the "Snow Plow Operators", will be held financially responsible for any damages to a homeowner's property deemed to be on Township road allowance when performing their daily maintenance operations. This includes, but is not limited to, damages involving fences, mailboxes, blue boxes, entranceways, and entrance signage.
