Lancers pinched by Crushers in shootout

Submitted
On Saturday night the Lucknow Lancers hosted the
league leading Shallow Lake Crushers.
The first period saw the Crushers have a strong
offensive attack but thanks to some great goaltending
by newly acquired goaltender Chris Skeates, the boys
started to find their legs and were rewarded with the
only goal in the opening period.
Colton Chamney crashed the net and buried the
rebound from a shoot by Evan "Duch" Ducharme.
The second period was dominated by the newly
formed line of Ricky Andrew, Scott Miller, and Joel
"Cowboy" Alton. After Shallow Lake scored a power
play goal, Scott Miller answered right back with a nice
goal with help from Ricky and Cowboy. The boys
found themselves trailing again after another power
play marker by the Crushers. Hard work paid off
when Chris Wainwright caused the turnover with one
of his many good body checks.
Andrew grabbed the loose puck and found Cow-
boy who showed his great patience by getting the
Shallow Lake goaltender way out of position for the
easy tap in. Going into the third period the score was
3 -3. Half way through the period just after the boys
killed off a penalty Shallow Lake made it 4 -3. The
Lancers used a power play goal of their own to tie the
game with just over seven minutes left in the final
period. Andrew tipped in a hard Chase "Chirp" Chap-
man shot "Cowboy" got the other assist. In overtime
the Lancers had three glorious chances to score but
just couldn't find the back of the net. Shallow Lake
won with a final score of 5 -4 in a shoot out.
The Lancers next home action is against the
defending champs from Port Elgin on Friday night at
8:30 pm. Don't forget to check out the teams Move-
meber website as the boys are growing facial hair and
collecting donations to help beat prostate cancer.
Thanks for all the donations so far.

CHECK OUT WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT
KINCARDINE HEARING CLINIC!
Glen Walden's Story "The first visit was understanding my problems and suggesting the possibilities
available. The type of hearing aid which they recommended have been very satisfactory. My follow-up
visits have been very satisfactory regarding the attention I have received in cleaning and checking."
Lila Stansfield' Story "Eh? What? Pardon? Bill would you turn that up a bit, A BIT MORE, A BIT MORE, PLEASE!"
These remarks were becoming a part of my life for at least four years. During family celebrations my misinterpretations
were becoming hilarious. They were laughing but I didn't appreciate being the joke. As my kids said goodbye;
they looked me in the eye and many times said,
"Mom you better get your hearing checked."
After much probing, I finally took their advice and the search led to
Kincardine Hearing Clinic. What I had put off unnecessarily turned out to be no problem
