Senior Men & Mixed closing The senior men and mixed group joined together for their closing on a beautiful Sept 25th. The winning sand- bagging team were Barb Sinclair, John Cooper, John Fludder and Victor DeGuz- man. Winning closest to the pin on #13 was Judy Goutheir, #6 was Carolyn Kelly, #17 was Roger Amolotte, and #2 was Les Kelly. Winners of the putting for the men were 1st Richard Papineau, 2nd John Wood and 3rd was Nick Harvey. Winners of the putting for the ladies were 1st was Marge Heimpel, 2nd was Elenor Roppel, and 3rd was Helen Haldenby. When the shooting con- cluded Janet Diebel came in first with a score of 46, Jo -Ann Carter claimed sec- ond at 39 and Clare Kuepfer had 37. In the twenties department Clare Kuepfer had 36, Al Carter 25 and Al McLeod shot 24. Door prize winners were Neil Cook and Evelyn Hodgkinson. Congratulations to Cathy Kuepfer who placed first in flight C and Clare Kuepfer who was a semi-finalist in Group B at the recent Belleville Tourney on Sept. 20th. The players showed keen interest in attending the next 2 National Crokinole Tournaments in Brucefield on Oct. 18th and Owen Sound is set for Nov. 22nd.
