The Huron County Health Unit, in partnership with Wingham Home- coming 2014, will present "The LEGO Movie" as part of a tobacco - free event at the William Street splash pad in Wingham. Activities promoting tobacco -free living, including button making and a trivia wheel, begin at 8:30 p.m. The movie begins at approximately 9 p.m. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. This tobacco -free, family-oriented event brings attention to the role of media messaging and tobacco use. "Most movies with smoking are rated for kids and teens," says Public Health Promoter Samantha Docherty. "These movies can have a big influence on kids to start smok- ing and this helps the tobacco industry recruit a new generation of customers." The Wingham Scouts will sell refreshments at the event and youth volunteers will gather public sup- port to address smoking in movies rated for children and youth. The free movie will take place rain or shine. When the friendly competition was complete, Peter Carter claimed the first place Laney's Certificate with a score of 57. Tying for second place with a score of 50 was Clare Kuepfer and George Carter with Clare having the most twenties. Third place was a three way tie with a score of 47 for Neil Cook, Robert Bonnett and Jo -Ann Carter with Robert having the most twenties. Players came from Holyrood, Tara, Hanover, Wingham, Car- gill, Walkerton, Mildmay, For- mosa, Eden Grove and Teeswater. Expanding Bus Tours Due to High Demand Bruce Power The return of summer bus tours to the Bruce Power site has been a huge success. Due to high demand and lim- ited seating on the buses, Bruce Power is adding two more tours per week for the month of August. Tours will be available at 1 and 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays next month. "Being the world's largest operating nuclear site and the area's largest employer means there is a lot of public curiosity about Bruce Power," said James Scongack, Vice President, Cor- porate Affairs. "The public inter- est in the tours has exceeded our expectations, and we're happy to educate even more people about our site this summer." The one-hour tours, which leave from the Visitors' Centre on Bruce Rd. 20 (Conc. 4), include a view of Douglas Point, Canada's first commer- cial -sized nuclear plant, a drive past the multi -unit Bruce A and Bruce B nuclear stations, which generate about a third of Ontario's electricity, and a number of extensive security elements that protect both stations.
