World Day of Prayer to be held at Anglican church
Next Friday, the women of
Egypt invite you to join with
them in the World Day of
Prayer celebration, praying
under the theme of Streams
in the desert. Each year, the
World Day fo Prayer service
brings with it a feeling of cur-
isoity. What will challenge,
inspire and encourage us?
What will we learn about the
theme and the focus country?
What will we learn about
ourselves?
Throughout the voices of urban, and
rural, young and older Egyptian women,
the World Day of Prayer committee of
Egypt introduces their country on a
human scle. They reveal Egypt as they live
it: a country with one foot firmly planted
in the past, teetering on the cusp of
modernity, searching for the next step.
Please join us and invite your friends
and family to attend the World Day of
Prayer service and learn more about the
culture and heritage of Egypt. Join Chris-
tians in more than 170 countries around
the world and 2,000 communities across
Canada who will gather on the World
Day of Prayer to pray and act in solidar-
ity with the people of Egypt.
The service will be held at St. Peter's
Anglican Church. For more information,
please contact Ruth Dobrensky at 519-

Huron -Kinloss council held
a special meeting last Thurs-
day evening regarding allega-
tions made on behalf of resi-

regarding the need for the
chief building official to attend
their property regarding, what
the couple is calling, a house
in need of a lot of repair.
Mayor Mitch Twolan said
they would be speaking with
their lawyer and speaking of
the matter in a closed session
meeting before making any
types of orders for the build-
ing official to attend the prop-
erty or give work orders.
The property owners say
they have until Feb. 26 to find
a home, under an order was
made by the Electrical Safety
Association saying the elec-

problems.
Further research found that there was
no record of their septic tank with the
health unit, and that certain things hadn't
been inspected to do with plumbing and
electrical. They said that all they wanted
was the building official to attend the
property to give work orders, in order to
have the repairs covered by insurance.
They say the claims by companies who
attended the residence say the home
needs approximately $250,000 in repairs
and renovations to make the home safe.
This is a cost the couple wants to have go
through their title insurance.
They requested council to make Matt

Council wasn't quick to go with such a
