Lucknow's Music in the Fields
took place August 22 and 23,
2014. The weather held for the
sold -out crowd to enjoy both
days of the music festival. MC
Johnny Gardhouse kept the
energy flowing throughout both
days with his wit and
commentaries.
The lineup began with Whit-
ney Rose taking the Main Stage
on Friday night. Emily Reid per-
formed on the Side Stage
between the acts on the Main
Stage. High Valley and Gord
Bamford finished off the night.
Karli June, Runner Up in the
Sepoy Salloon Showdown
started up the music on Satur-
day, August 23. Brooklyn Roe
Buck performed on the Side
Stage between The River Junc-
tion Band, Lindsay Ell and Brett
Kissel on the Main Stage.
Runaway Angel was the
Sepoy Salloon Showdown Win-
ner and was awarded the privi-
lege of a set before each of Tim
Hicks and Dierks Bently. Fol-
lowing Tim Hicks, two very spe-
cial guests were brought out on
the Main Stage to pay tribute to
Canada. The enthusiastic crowd
joined in singing a rousing ren-
dition of 0 Canada.
The Road Hammers took to
the stage before the last set for
Runaway Angel. The energy did
not flag at all for the final per-
formance of the evening by
Dierks Bently.

With the calibre of musical talent
being attracted to Lucknow's
Music in the Fields, security and
rules surrounding media have
had to be tightened. When media
representatives were advised that
no photos could be taken in the
"Meet and Greet" area, as the
official photographers would be
taking them, MC Johnny Gardhouse
exclaimed that anybody could
take his photo. He quipped that he
had to "have some beauty in the
shot" and enlisted volunteer Joan
Chamney to step into the picture.
