Senior Men
The senior men played
stroke play on July 24th
with Walter Hogg winning
1st with net 62, 2nd was
Larry Cerson with net 65,
George Armstrong came in
3rd with net 66, and 4th
place went to Glen
Mathews, Dave Cooper and
Harry Hicks. Closest to the
pin on #2 was George Arm-
strong and Terry Parsons
was closest to pin on #13.
The senior men played a
scramble on July 31st with
the sand bagging team of
Dave Bednarz, Art Helm &
Walter Hogg getting 1st
with a 63. 2nd place went to
Barry McDonagh, Dean
Tefler and Bob Parks with a
67 and 3rd went to Paul
Sinclair,
Bruce Heimpel and Stan
Roberts with a 68. Closest
to the pin on #17 was Al
Brown and on #13 was
Skone Crokinole

It was another great
evening of finger "flicking"
and socializing at the Scone
School House on Wednes-
day, Aug. 6th. Twenty-two
players took part with the
following winners.
Claiming first place with 46
points was a tie between
Clare Kuepfer and Len Zet-
tler. Peter Carter finished
second with 42 points with
Evelyn Hodgkinson placed
third with 41 points. In the
twenties category Peter
Carter led the way with 45,
Clare Kuepfer shot 40 and
Neil Cook had 29. Door
prize winners were Linda
Simkins and Doreen
Sulkye. The next chance to
attend Scone is August 20
at 7:30 with a warm wel-
come waiting.

The board of directors of
the Lucknow Agricultural
Society has, over the years,
extended fair events to
Sunday.
The day starts off with
breakfast, this year, at the
multi-purpose room in the
arena. A community
church service follows with
local ministers participat-
ing. The offering goes to the
Canadian Food Grains
Bank.
The pet show, with 12
categories, gets underway
at noon. Gather at the
gazebo on the fair grounds.
Participants in the soap
box derby will be register-
ing at noon for a 1 p.m. race
time. This is a fun event, so
if you haven't taken it in, do
so this year. Come as a

The ladies played a game
on July 30th where you took
out your scores on holes 14,
16 and 17. Sally Park was
the winner with a 31 and
they were the wrong holes
for Terri Mennie.
