CANADIAN MOTOCROSS GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Lin !nil FAMILY FUN WEEKEND OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ONSITE CAMPING IN WALTON By Reba Jefferson On Friday, July 25 the Wawanosh 4-H Wonder Women met at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex at 6:45pm for their fourth meeting. Kate Hig- gins opened the meeting with the pledge then led roll call, which asked mem- bers how they stay fit. Members answered with a variety of answers such as swimming, biking, playing sports, and walking. Next, Jolande Oudshoorn read the minutes from the previ- ous meeting. The club then entered the fitness centre and Mary Ellen Foran intro- duced our instructor, Carol Phillips, who was leading us in a strength class. Carol's strength class had the club working with exercise balls toning almost every muscle of the body. We've got draught horses, light horses, dairy cows and beef cows, and sheep. Did you know the Luc - know Ag Society has 36 different sheep categories! And how about that poultry show! There are 65 different categories! Don't miss seeing the beauties that compete in the heavy horse show and check out the mules too. And of course, watching a Western or English attired rider mounted on a fine steed can bring a smile to your face too! Check out the fall fair book for all this and more. Books are available at the Sentinel, Home Hardware or the Co-op. and more got a great work out. After the strength class, the club went to the squash courts to play Wal- lyball which is similar to volleyball but played on squash courts and the ball can bounce off the walls and still be in play. Mem- bers had fun with both the strength class and the game of Wallyball. Kate Higgins thanked Carol for the great workout. Following the workout, Melissa Higgins handed out the cover page while the club discussed the possible movies to watch for their movie night. Kate closed the meeting with the motto. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 31st at the St. Jacob's Outlet Mall for tips on fashion and dressing to impress.
