The Novembermeeting of Dub-
lin CWL was held inthe, parish
hall on Monday evening` with an:
attendance. of 25 members. The
president,. Mrs., Dan O'Rourke, op.
ened the meeting with the regula-
tion CWL prayer and hymn. The

The Huron County Women's: In-
stitute was
n-stitute'was held Monday in'' Brus-
sels .United Church 'with the presi-
dent, Mrs. Richards, of East Hur-
on District, ,'presiding..': After the
opening session, thepresident gave
a hearty welcome to all: and gave
a short address. After a business
period, greetings were brought by
the -West Huron president, Mrs.
Otto , Popp, 'of ";Dungannon, 'and
Mrs.
Mrs. John.. McLean., of Seaforth, of
the South Huron District. The sec-
retaries of these districts also
gave .reports.
Harvey.Johii ton, from the Coun-
ty Home for . the Senior Citizens,
spoke .to ;the ladies on the work
being accomplished there. He al-
so answered many questions con-
cerning the new ` addition and
about an intercom system which
might add enjoyment to the resi-
dents there. Mrs.: Stanley Bride,"
chairman of the Guelph Area,
brought greetingsand a telegram
of congratulations were sent to
the new; area, meeting at Owen
Sound. After the. :roll call of the
districts, "Mrs: D. A. McNaugh-
ton, of Wingham, spoke ` of, the
work of the •Winghani Cancer So-
ciety, and invited all to attend 'a
meeting there 'on, Wednesday eve-
ning:

ed with devotions: by R.ev, ;Lloyd
Brown, minister of Brussels Unit-

Miss Bette Tillman' home eco-
nomist for -Huron. County, present-
ed the scholarship to Miss Mar-
jorie Dapple, of Seaforth. This was
acceptedby her, mother, -Mrs.
Papple, as Miss •Nlarjo ie 'is at-
tending Teachers' College -at • Strat-
ford this term, Miss Tillman .spoke
of the senior and juniorwork in
the county. She stated, that over

project, "The Cereal Shelf,"; . and
that 275 ::girls had taken the Gar-
den Club and the : Home Beetitifi-
cation project. The fall! project,
