Wedding anniversary con-
gratulations of the community
are extended to Mr. and Mrs.
Eli Rapien, 60 years married on
Saturday, Nov. 12, and Mr. and
Mrs. Ed. Prueter, married 55
years, and Mr. and Mrs. Philip
Rock, also married 55 years,
both on Nov. 13,

the altar of St. Peter's Luther-
an Church on Sunday from the
family of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Ra-
pien, who celebrated their 60th
wedding anniversary on Sunday.
Next Sunday, Youth Sunday
will be observed at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church with Semin-
arian Mervyn Dubrick, the
guest preacher. Several mem-
bers of the Luther League will
also take part in the service.
The Barbers' Association of
Perth County enjoyed a dinner
and social at the club room of
the Brodhagen Community Hall
last Wednesday evening.
Saturday evening a shower
was held for Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Clarence (Joyce Quer-
engesser), at the Community
Hall here. They were present-
ed with cash and Franklin
Buuck read the address. Muel-
ler's orchestra provided music.
Lunch was served.
Mr. Herman Leonhardt has
been confined to Scott Memor-
ial Hospital, Seaforth. He un-
derwent an operation on his
arm.
Miss Jean French is taking a
hairdressing course in Kit-
chener.
Mrs. Fred Kistner, Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Rock and Mr. and
Mrs. Philip Rock attended the
funeral of Mrs. Henry Roppel,
Listowel, recently.

Minstrel Show Enjoyed
About 200 attended and en-
joyed a minstrel show, present-
ed by St. Thomas' Anglican
Church of Seaforth, with a cast
of 28, at the Brodhagen and
District Community Hall on
Monday evening, sponsored by
the Stewards of the Christian
Home Married Couples group
of St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
Brodhagen. Refreshments were
served to the cast by the mem-
bers of the Stewards of the
Christian Home following the
show.

Forty-three members were
present at the monthly dinner

Distract Chamber of Commerce
last Thursday evening. George
Rock, president of the program
committee, reported that a
supper meeting would be held
once a month during the win-
ter months. A request was made
from the Stewards of the Chris-
tian Home (Married Couples)
group of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, for help in financing a
hardtop to be put in the church
shed for a skating rink. Three
hundred dollars was pledged to-
ward this. The property com-
mittee is to look into materials
for installing a ceiling in the
basement of the Community

is the former Emma Puschel-
berg and is an active member
of the United Lutheran Church
Women, and they are members
of St. Peter's Lutheran Church,
and for many years both sang
in the choir.
They have a family of two
sons and one daughter: George,
of RR 2, Walton; Harold, RR 1,
Bornholm, with whom the cou-
ple reside, and Mrs. Fred A.
