McAllister, of Toronto, and while there attended the Royal Winter Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hed- den, Karen, Kevis, Keith and Kerry, of St. Catharines, and Mr. Harold Hedden and Bob, of Dresden, were weekend visi- tors with Mrs. Catharine Hed- den and Herb. Bus Trip to Winter Fair Thirty-seven WI members and friends enjoyed a bus trip to the Royal Winter Fair, Toron- to, on Monday, their fifth bus trip, organized by the presi- dent, Mrs. Fred Beer, who was presented a gift in apprecia- tion. The group left Hensall at 8 a.m. and arrived home at 2 a.m. the next morning. After getting off the bus in Toronto, they spent three hours in down- town Toronto, and the first per- son they met was Rev. W. J. Rogers, of Erindale, formerly of Hensall, and they had much pleasure renewing acquaintanc- es. Mrs. John Chapman, of Lon- don, gave a commentary and her husband showed lovely pic- tures of their travels in the Holy Land, at the Evening Aux- iliary November meeting, held in the auditorium of Hensall United Church Monday evening. Mrs. Chapman was introduced by Mrs. Walter Spencer and thanked by Mrs. Don Joynt. Mrs. Ron Mock, who presid- ed, gave the welcome to the members and special guests, WMS and Arnold Circle of Car- mel Church, St. Paul's Angli- can, Chiselhurst and ,Kippen societies, and WMS of the United Church. Mrs. A. Shirray conducted the devotional and Miss Ellis offered prayer. Mrs. Wm. Fuss and Mrs. Ken Break- ey, of Zurich, contributed a vo- cal •duet, "Far From the Fold," accompanied at the piano by Mrs. A. M. Amacher. Miss Greta Laramie favored with a violin' solo, "Adoration," with Mrs. Currie Winlaw as accompanist. Delicious refreshments were served in the Sunday school- room, the tea table centering an arrangement of mums, flanked by candleabras. Mrs. E. KIPPEN Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones and sons were Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Hux- table and Bill, of Centralia. Mr. and Mrs. Alex McGregor and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mc- Gregor attended the annual Ontario Federation of Agricul- ture meeting Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of last week at the Royal York Hotel in To- ronto. They were taken through the assembly yards for the sell- ing of hogs. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Wahl, of Listowel, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Dickert. Congratulations are extended to Mr. and Mrs. John A. Bell for the gift of a baby daugh- ter. Mr. and Mrs. William Stog- dill, of Toronto, visited a cou- ple of days with Mr. and Mrs. Elston Dowson. Mrs. Reid Torrance, who has spent the past month with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hanes, of Sev- ern Bridge, returned home on Monday. Mr.° and Mrs. Herbert White- man and Margaret, of Toronto, spent the weekend with the former's sister, Miss Mabelle Whiteman. Mrs. Bea Dixon, of Parkhill, was a Sunday guest. The guests of honor were invited to the liv- ing room, where an address was read by Mr. Donald McDonald, and Mr. Harold Bolger present- ed the couple with a modern bronze, electric clock and a walnut, tri -light lamp. A movie film was taken by Miss Marie Hollinger, of Fruitland, and a dainty lunch served. The Library Board will hold their annual meeting Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 28, at 2:30 p.m. All members and anyone inter- ested are invited to be present. A good attendance is request- ed. Mrs. Mary Mowbray, Toron- to; Mrs. John Linton and Mrs. Patterson, of Windsor, visited with Miss Mary Ellen Mowbray last Friday at the home of Mrs. Thomas Leeming. Miss Mowbray observed her 92nd birthday on Wednesday, Nov. 15. - Mr. and Mrs. C. Stutz and Wolfram, of Wellesley, and Mr. and Mrs. W. Stutz, of Waterloo, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Torrance Dun- das. Mr. Alex Gulutzen returned home last Friday after spending the past two weeks with rela- tives at Buchanan, Sask. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hughes and, family, of St. Marys, visit- ed with Mr. and Mrs. William Henry on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alf Anderson and Nora spent Saturday in London with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson. Miss Jean Mills, of Toronto, spent the weekend with her father, Mr. Earl Mills. Mrs. Herb Traviss and Gail and Mrs. Ron Bennett and Joan visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Armand Kernick, Lucan, on Sunday. On Sunday, Nov. 19 and 26, the services in Duff's United Church will be held at 11:30 a.m. The winter schedule will begin Dec. 3, when Sunday School will commence at 10 a.m. and church service at 11 a.m. Mission Band will be held next Sunday morning. Mrs. E. McCreath and Mrs M. Cross, of Toronto, were the weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. McCreath. Rowe and Mrs. Mock poured tea. Hostesses were Mrs. Jack Drysdale and Mrs. Howard Scane.
