Given in miirriage by her
father, the bride was lovely in
a floor -length gown of white
peau de soie, fashioned on prin-
cess lines, featuring a V -neck-
line, lilypoint sleeves, and the
skirt had a front lace panel.
Her fingertip circular veil of
silk illusion was held by a
small crown of seed pearls.
She carried an arrangement of
pink carnations, white stephan-
otis with stephanotis Ieaves.
Miss Barbara Holland, Lon-
don, was maid of honor. Her
street -length dress of violet vel-
vet featured . a -"full skirt, short
sleeves, cummerbunds, a n d
matching accessories. She ear;
ried a crescent of white bab'
mums.

Misses Gail Gowing, cousin of
the bride, and Betty Jean Cook,
younger sister of the bride,
were bridesmaids. Their dress-
es, flowers and accessories
were identical to the maid of
honor. Jane Shiell, niece of the
bridegroom, was flower -girl.
Her dress also was of violet vel-
vet, fashioned as the other at-
tendants. She wore a matching
headband and carried a basket
of baby murhs.
The ringbearer was Kenneth
of the bridegroom. Douglas
Davidson, Wingham, was the
best man, and the ushers were
Robert and Thomas Temple-
man.
A wedding dinner was serv-
ed in the dining hall of the
church by a group of W. 4.:
members. The bride's mother
received the guests wearing a
sheath dress of bronze -green
brocade with brown and beige
accessories, and a corsage of
Talisman roses. She was assist-
ed
ssisted by the bridegroom's moth-
er, who had chosen a sheath
dress of brown mixed wool with
paisley arnet trim, green and
brown accessories and a cor-
sage of yellow roses.
For a wedding trip to North-
ern Ontario the --ride travel-
led in a mushroont boucle suit
with brown and mushroom ac-
cessories and a corsage of red
roses. On their return they will
reside in London.

and bronze chrysanthemums,
yellow marigold and "colored
maple 'leaves made a truly
autumn background in Blyth
United Church Saturday after-
noon, Oct. 7, at two o'clock,
when marriage vows were ex-
changed by Iris Lorraine, Lon -
Sion, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Perry, Victoria Park, To-
ronto, and Thomas John Web-
ster, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Webster, Blyth. The of-
ficiating clergyman was Rev.
Evan McLagan, minister of the
church. Mr. Donovan Brown,
London, played bridal music on
the church organ. The selec-
tions chosen were "Fugees" by
Bach.
The bride, given in marriage
by her uncle, Mr. Albert Perry,
Toronto, was lovely in a waltz -
length dress of white nylon or-
ganza with blue eyelet embroid-
ery over peau de soie, fashion-
ed with a shawl collar and full
skirt. Her embroidered- French
illusion veil fell from a scal-
loped cap. Her only ornament
was a diamond set locket, the
gift of the bridegroom. She
carried an arrangement of
Sweetheart roses, centered with
an orchid, and leaves of orange
blossoms.
Mrs, Harry Halliday, London,
as matron of honor, was her
only attendant. Her dress was
heavenly blue peau de sole,
sheath style, with full over-
skirt of organza. She wore a
matching headdress and veil,
and carried mauve chrysanthe-
mums and trailing ivy, set in
tulle.

Honored Before Departure
On Saturday evening, Mr. and
Mrs, Gordon Staples were hon-
ored by their former- neighbors
at a card party at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack McIver. Mr.
and Mrs. Staples recently mov-
ed to their farm in Hibbert
Township, An address was read
and they were presented with
a bedspread. Winners at cards
were Mrs. Staples and Auguste
Ducharme. Consolation prizes
went to Mr, and Mrs. Theo Van
Bakel. Lunch was served by
the hostess and assistants.
