Home Opening
Huron County Ladies' Auxil-
iary to "Huronview Home"
Clinton, met at the Home Mon-
day afternoon, August 21. Ow-
ing to the absence of the presi-
dent, Mrs. Fred Thompson, the
meeting was chaired by Mrs,
W. C. Bennett. The roll call
was answered by a gift of kit-
chen equipment for use in the
new kitchen, used by the aux-
iliary,
Mrs. Harvey Johnston, craft
instructor, reported all resi-
dents were working hard to
have a good showing of crafts
for the official opening of Hur-
onview, Superintendent Harvey
Johnston met with the auxiliary
to plan with them the serving
of refreshments for the official
opening, which will be held Fri-
day, Sept. 8, at 2:30 o'clock. Mr.
Johnston stated that following
the official ceremonies and
speakers' addresses, a • conduct-
ed tour of Huronview would be
made,
Goderich Women's Institute
will sponsor the September
birthday party for all residents
who claim that month for their
birth date. The various Wo-
men's Institute branches in Hur-
on County sponsor these par-
ties, the third Wednesday of
