Dublin Firm Underway Since 1915
Site of the present Dublin
Creamery and Poultry Packers
Ltd. plant, where the new poul-
try evisceration department has
been established, has long been
the location of a creamery, and
more recently of a poultry pro-
cessing industry.
Louis Looby opened the first
creamery on the site in 1915,
according to "A Hibbert Re-
view" (Part Two) by Isabelle
Campbell. Subsequent owners
were Timothy Flynn and Ed-
ward Tyers, and later, William •
J. Hanley. During this latter
period Thomat Butters and Wil-
liam Llanley, Jr., were the but-
termakers.
In 1947, H, H. Rubenstein, of
Toronto, purchased the business
and it has continued to oper-
ate as Dublin Creamery and
Poultry Packers, although on
occasions it has been leased by
other interests.
The company has branches at
Seaforth and Brussels. fl
