surprise, and her daughter-in-law,

very delicious chicken dinner. A
few hours of social chat were en-
joyed, all wishing Mrs. Malcolm

35th Birthday
The 35th birthday of the Sea -
forth Ladies' Orange Benevolent
Association was celebrated with a
dessert euchre in the Orange Hall,
Seaforth, Wednesday. The hall
was decorated with daffodils and
spring flowers and a birthday cake.
Mrs. William Collins, WM, receiv-
ed the guests at the door, After
the dessert, a delightful game of
euchre was enjoyed. Prize winners
were: ladies' high, Mrs. McKellar;
ladies' lone hands, Mrs. George
Tunney; ladies' consolation, Mrs.
Hay. Mrs. J. Cairns won the lucky
prize.
In the evening, 21 tables sat in
for dessert and then played euchre.
Afterwards the draw for a satin
comforter was made by Mrs. Shob-
brook, of Clinton. The winning
ticket drawn was held by Mrs. A.
E. Crozier. The lucky cup winner
was Mrs. J. Grummett. Winners of
the euchre were: Ladies, high, Mrs.
Shobbrook; lone hands, Mrs. Wal-
ter Scott; consolation, Mrs. Hod-
gert; men, high, George Campbell;
lone hands, E. Clarke; consola-
tion, Albert O'Reilly.

Auxiliary Meets
At Cranbrook
The May meeting of the Cran-
brook Evening Auxiliary was held
at the home of Mrs. Norm Pfeifer
with seven members present. The
leader, Lena Noble, opened with a
verse, "The Inner Wall." The first
and third verses of Hymn 419 were
sung. Helen Smith led, in prayer.
The Scripture, Psalm 27, was read
in unison. The meditation was
read by Mrs. Nelson.
The meeting was then turned
over to .the president. The min-
utes were read and approved. -The
collection was taken by the treas-
urer. The Sunshine collection was
taken by Hellen Smith. The roll
call was answered with a verse
with the word 'seed' in it. An in-
vitationas extended the group
by the Melville ladies of Brussels
to attend their meeting Tuesday
evening, May 16.
The topic, "Are We Not Broth-
ers?" was read by Betty Knight.
The first and last verses of Hymn
494 were sung. The meeting closed
by repeating the Mizpah benedic-
tion in unison. Lunch was served
by the hostess, assisted by Marilyn
Engel and Grace Evans.
