WILL MARK .2$ TOWN STREETS;
C. OF C. ORDERS STREET SIGNS
Visitors to Seaforth Will soon be
able to find their way around.
Seaforth streets, or at least, some
of them, will have a pew look come
October, as a result of a special
meeting of the Seaforth Chamber
of Commerce Thursday evening.
Plans were finalized for the pur-
chase of approximately 35 street
signs. Previous to the meeting,
the executive had met with L. S.
Mannell, Oakville, representing the
Municipal Service Co. Mr. Man-
nell displayed a sample sign and
explained its features and the cost
of each sign.
The sign, in itself, is double-
faced and of metalite cast alum-
inum -magnesium. He pointed'out
that these, signs would be long last-
ing, and that the white metal let-
tering was quite discernible at
night when car lights reflected on
them. They come in two sizes—up
to 10 'letters, and up to 16 letters.
The Seaforth Chamber of Com-
merce plan to place these Signs on
Goderich Street and Main Street,
and work is expected to be com-
pleted by mid-October. -
The streets on Goderich Street
to receive signs • are: Adams, Ann,
Helen, West, Church, West Wil-
liam, Main North, East William,
Sperling, Louisa, Jarvis, Main
South, Victoria, Chalk and Cole -
than. Those on. Main Street where
signs will be placed are: Duke,
Centre, James, John, Market, Hur-
on, Franklin, Side, Gouinlock,
