CLARENCE R. MINN
Suffering a stroke on Monday,
as he was on a- motor trip In the
Peterborough area, Clarence B.
Munn died in Civic Hospital, Peter-
borough Tuesday morning. He was
in his 56th year.
Mr. Munn had been a hardware
merchant in. Aylmer since 1928.
Active in that community he is a
former member of the Aylmer PU
C and past chairman of the Ayl-
mer recreation council.
A native of Hay township, he
was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs
Alexander Munn and attended
school in the township and Seaforth
Collegiate Institute. • •
He is survived by his wife, the
former Edith Appleyard, two sons,
Robert and Arthur, at home and a
daughter, Mary, of Ottawa. He is
also survived by a -brother, Dr.
J. A. Munn, Seaforth. A brother
, Robert, and sister, Bessie, Mrs.
T. G. Wilson, predeceased him.
Funeral 'services were held at
the Barnum Funeral Home, Ayl-
mer on Thursday with interment
following in Aylmer cemetery.
MRS. MARGARET HUTTON
One of the oldest residents of
Kincardine district, in the person
of Mrs. Margaret Hutton, was bur-
ied there on Saturday, July 30.
The •former Margaret Jane Ben-
son, formerly of Pontypool, Dur-
ham County and widow of Wesley
Hutton, she would have been 92 In
mid-August.
Until ill health intervened four
years ago, she gave unselfishly of
her many talents. A devoted moth-
er and home -maker, she also faith-
fully served her church and com-
munity. For over 30 years she was
organist and choir leader in Chal-
mers Presbyterian, later United,
Church, Kincardine township, hav-
ing • been the first organist, in the
church. She was also active lin
the work of all organizations of
the church a'nd of the Women's
Institute and Red Cross, the lat-
ter until a few years ago. .
Her husband died in 1917. Of a
family of nine children, four sons
and three daughters survive. They
are Benson and Eugene, Kincar-
dine township; Chambers, East St,
Louis, Illinois; Harry, Waterdown;
Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Grummett,
Seaforth; Mrs. -William (Alice) Con
way, Kincardine township; Mrs.
Douglas (Gladys) Airth, Cooks-
town.
Also surviving are 17 grandchil-
dren and four great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Scott,
Fairview, Alberta and Mrs: Vivian
Argue, Toronto. A son, Jack, died
last November in. El Paso, Texas;
anther son, Ernest, died at Kincar-
dine about 12 years ago. Abrother
Albert Benson, died at Vancouver
a couple of months .ago in his 94th
year.
The many floral and other tri-
butes bespoke the respect with
which she was held in the commun-
ity: Rev. John C. Hutton, of Pine
River United Church, was in charge
of the services; during which a
duet, "God's Way" was sung by
Mrs. William Grunder and Ronald
Slade,

be held at EUB Church Cemetery
on 'August 21, at 2:30 p.m., with
special music and a speaker plan-
ned.
The bride wore a floor -length
gown of Chantilly lace with un -
pressed pleats of nylon tulle, - A
fitted bodice of Chantilly lace and
sequins featured a scalloped neck-
line. A pearl tiara held her finger-
tip veil of illusion and she wore
pearl accessories, a gift of the
groom and carried yellow satin
with lilac mums :and yellow roses.
Miss Tina Lansink, sister of the
bride, 'was maid of honor, wearing
a white pleated nylon skirt over taf-
feta, 'with lace roses embroidered
on the bodice and a mauve head-
dress of nylon. She carried a lilac
and yellow backing with yellow
mums. -
Misses Rosemary Lansink, sister
of the bride, Deanne Garon, sister
of- the groom and Madelon Town-
send were bridesmaids, all dressed
identical to the maid of honor.
