CONSTANCE—The wedding took
place in Constance United Church
on Saturday, July 23, at 3:00 p.m.,
of Janet Frances Eleanor Mac-
Gregor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ross MacGregor, and Percy John
Huth, RR 2, Clifford, son of Mrs.
Florence Huth and the late Fred
Huth, RR 2, Clifford. Rev. H.
Funge, Londesboro, officiated at
the ceremony.
The bride wore a floor -length
dress of net over taffeta with lily -
point sleeves. Her finger-tip veil
was covered with sequins, and she
carried a white Bible with red
roses.
The bride's twin sisters, Misses
Mary and Margaret MacGregor,
were the bridesmaids. They wore
identical turquoise waltz -length
dresses of nylon over taffeta and,
matching headdresses.
Soloist for the occasion was Mrs.
Neil Bell, of Seaforth, and Mrs.
Lyle Murray, Clifford, played the
organ. A reception was held in
the same church.
For travelling, the bride wore a
white and green sheath with white
accessories and rose corsage. Fol-
lowing a trip to Algonquin Park
and Ottawa, the couple will re-
side on the groom's farm in How -
ick Township.
In the period 1953-58 certificates
of Canadian Citizenship were grant-
ed 326,3,04 new Canadians. But one
look at Canada's sparsely settled
areas and the economic 'smallness
of the home market indicates the
great need for more of these peo-

Four sisters, Mrs. William Old-
field, Mrs. Ted Brown, Mrs. Neu-
bauer. of Ransomville, N.Y., and

children, Mr. Ted Brown, Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Chambers, Mr. and Mrs.
William O'Shea and children and
Miss Nancy Nott, were at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nott
for dinner, and in the afternoon all
went to Dublin to the home of Mr,
and. Mrs. Doug Racho for the
Kruse family reunion. In all, there
were 52 guests present. Miss Nancy
Nott had just returned from a
holiday in Hawaii, Mr. Harry
Kruse, of Gormley, and Miss Sally
Nott were unable to be present,
The afternoon was spent with
games, contests and races, and a
happy time was spent by all. It
was decided to make this an an-
nual event, to be held the fourth
Sunday in July.

a holiday visit with his brothers,
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Robinson
and family, of Stanley, and Mr.
Thomas Robinson and family. Mrs.

Manitoba, is visiting with her sis-
ter-in-law, Mrs. David Stephenson,
and a number of "other relatives
and friends: Inhonor of these Man-
itoba friends, a family get-togeth-
er was held at Lions Park on Sun-
day afternoon when about 100 of
the relatives and. friends were
present. Companions and 'friends
of bygone years enjoyed a very
happy hour together.

wood, called on friends here last
week.
Mrs. J. Nott, of Bruce Mines,
Algoma, has been renewing ac-
quaintances with relatives and
friends here.

ATTEND TWILIGHT MEETING
More than 40b Huron farm peo-
ple attended the annual twilight
Ieeting of the Huron Soil and Crop
mprovement Association Tuesday
night at the Huron County Home.
Because of a steady downpour of
rain, the program started at 7:30
p.m., with the men taking cover
in the barn. Clarence Shaw, Wing -
ham, first vice-president of the
association, was chairman for .the
men's program, assisted by Geo.
Wheatley, RR 2, Dublin, second
..vice-president,
Dr. Stanley Young, of the field
hubandry department, OAC, of
Guelph, spoke on the rod -row tests
of barley and oats, shown in dem-
onstration plots at the Huron Coun-
ty farm; Alex Chesney, Seaforth,
weed inspector for Huron,. explain-
ed spray programs, followedwith
the plots; C. H. Kingsbury, of the
field crops branch, OAC, Guleph,
spoke on hay and pasture;- Jack
Murray, London, regional soils su-
pervisor for Elgin, Middlesex,
Perth and Huron, spoke on fer-
tility.
Demonstrations were given by
representatives of• spray compan-
ies.
Miss Bette Tillman, home econ-
omist for Huron County, conducted
the women's program, held in the
HCH auditorium. A talk on flower
gardening was given by Prof. J.
Weall, horticultural department,
OAC, Guelph.
The president of the association,
William Clark, RR 5, Goderich,
conducted a joint program, at
which greetings from Huron Coun-
ty were extended by Warden John
Durnin, reeve of West Wawanosh;
from the HCH committee of coun-
ty council, .by Reeve William Mor-
ritt, Blyth; the Huron agricultural
committee, by Reeve Valentine
Becker, Hay Township.
Greetingswere extended from
the Ontario SCIA by Melbourne
Greenwood, RR 1, Mitchell, pro-
vincial director.
The event was arranged by
Douglas Miles, agricultural rep-
resentative for Huron, with the
assistance of the HCH superintend-
ent, Harvey Johnston, and the
county farm manager, Stanley Col-
lins.
