In the six years being employed by Nike, Lindsey told the Expositor on May 31 during a demo/fit day at the Seaforth Golf & Country Club that she has not yet had the opportunity to meet the golf superstar. "I would love to meet Rory or Tiger. Hopefully if I stay here long enough and remain with the company, maybe that will happen," stated Lindsey Edmunds, the Nike sales manager for all of Southwestern Ontario. A one -woman team, Edmund travels across the region not only in Seaforth but in cities such as Windsor Safe Lck Storage Inc. www.safelockstorage.ca Call/text: 519-441-8711Email: info@safelockstorage.ca 24Winnises Rd Clinton ON Chatham and Sarnia but may reach sometimes as far as Owen Sound. Performing three to four events a week, from now until April of next year, it's expected to be the highest degree of labouring time of the year for the 32 -year-old. As per usual, she packs her SUV up almost daily to showcase the newest line of golf clubs from what's believed to be the most valu- able brand in all of sports. According to Forbes, the ath- letic marquee is currently worth about $15 billion. "Golf has been a part of my life since I was little, so it's nice to stay in the indus- try as a professional career," Edmunds said after fitting clubs for some locals. "I absolutely love it" "You get to make people happy and also hit some nice shots." Being a former profes- sional golfer, Edmunds is accustomed to going on tour in the U.S. as well as Canada. The London Ont. native does not hold the illustrious name as a Woods or Mcllroy, how- ever she does clench a title only one other person in Canada does. "I'm one of the only female reps in Canada, (actually) I am the only female rep," she said. It was a bright and sunny day on the driving range of Seaforth's only golf course. Several locals came out including Paul Doig and his friend Teremoana Beau - cousin, who was visiting from Kennesaw State University but originates from Tahiti, French Polynesia. The classmates were on hand crushing balls 300 -plus yards with the new- est Nike Clubs. After the dem- onstration the duo decided to sharpen their game on the course. Edmunds said that is something she is interested in being a part of in the near future. "This is my first time doing a fit day in Seaforth. I've been here a couple of times. I have not played the golf course. Next time I come up, that's high on the list," she said.
