If you follow the trail of wrapping paper it all leads back to the gifts -to alle- viate some Christmas heart- ache, St. Thomas Anglican Church in Seaforth had you partially covered this past weekend. For the better part of the year, the Anglican churches from both Seaforth and Clin- ton have been stocking up on gifts usually under $10. Since last calculating the total, Helen Oldfield who coo'. event alongside Betty Burns, said there were at least 1200 gifts in the back of the church that were ready to be picked by the children to give to their parents and family members on Christmas morning. The St. Nick's Christmas Shopping Day for Children -in its 1 lth year is a slightly different holiday tra- dition than most children are accustomed. The youth are undertaking the shop- ping responsibility and in turn this aids in promoting adult -like characteristics. Sitting in the church's pews, the parents waited in anticipa- tion -this lime they were being looked after.
