TO THE FARMERS:
Since the date of our last aclvertistment to
you we have sold 1100 acres of land, and being
all the land held by UR in behalf of the various
Loan Companies we represent, except the
Shaw farm of 200 acres in Kinloss, and which
we are offering very cheap and on very easy
terms of payment.
Several farmers have, however, placed
their farms in our hands for sale, so that we
hope to be able to apply the bulk of the
demand for farms as heretofore. But as our
sales exceeded 1000 acres iast spring we would
request those in want of a cheap farm to apply
early, as the spring time will now soon be
here. We can grapt very reasonable terms of
_payment .for all our sales and a low rate of
inteiest.
If you wish to renew or change you mort-
gage, or put a new .niortgage on your farm, or
send money away in payment of the interest
or principal of your mortgage, we can guaran-
tee you satisfaction and at a very trifling
expense.
We lend money on farmers' notes fer long
or short.time; and can supply all demands on
reasonable terms. Sale notes a specialty.
We do a general banking business of all
kinds with Merchants, Cattle Dealers,
Shippers and Farmers,

TWELFTH OF JULY.
Beg Celebration of Orati..,emen in the Ton n
by the Lake.
The anniversary of the' Battle of the
Boyne was right royally celebrated in
the tostri of Kinc'ardine on Tuesday
last. The town was gaily decorated
with "green arches and hunting, which,
together with the bright colored
regalias and beautiful orange banners
made a very pretty sight, as the
monster procession passed down the
main street. It was indeed a demon-
stration that any society should be
proud of,' and be it said to the Orange.
Order of West Bruce we never 'saw• a
more respectable and orderly gdthering
of the kind. It was a large crowd, in
fact a good deal too large for the't6win
and its accomoclations. Four heassAy,
laden trains carne in from the' south -
and by noon fully 10,003 people were
present. The day was • arniOst
universally observed as a holiday„, in
Lucknow and nearly all the places. of
business were closed, a complement,
by the way, we hope our neighbors by
the lak.e .wilLreturn on our Caledonian
day. Thirty nine lodges were in the
procession and as they marched down
the street, the -splendid lodge from
Lucknow with their black plug hats
and full dress suits were the admir-
ation of all and when they carried oft
the prize •as the best and most
uniformly dressed lodge on the grounds
the announcement met with unanimous
approval. The boys from Belfast also
made .,a splendid turnout and looked
remarkably well. Five lady True
Blue lodges were present from Wing -
ham, Leadbury, Walton, Winthrop,
and Belgrave, all of whom were driven
to the grounds in carriages. At the
park the lodges were judged by.

A PLEASING EVENT.
The Mitchell Recorder says a very
pleasant "at home" was held in the
school room of Main street church, on
Friday evening last, under the auspices
of the Epworth League. There was a
large gathering of both young and old;
Mr. Fred. B. Holtby presided and a
very interesting programme was carried
out After the excellent programme
was exhausted,, the following presen-
tation was made, which proved to be
the most interesting event of the
evening :—
To Miss Milts.
