have gone to Lucknow for a summer's
sewing.
Ilar. J. Jamieson has sold a valuable
young shorthorn to Mr. Thos. Ander-
son, ,of Dungannon at a good figure
Mr. David Farrish has purchased a
tine young bull from Mr. Anderson
of Dungannon.
In anticipation. of the promised
'railroad for which Thos. Hussey and
*other delegates are pleading the Federal
Parliament t� run to Port Albert.
Of course it roust come by way of
Lanes. There has been a market for
wheat here for the past week.

week, four , being those of old men.
One. of • these was Mr. Erdman late
turnkey in the jail. The county is
now without either jailer or turnkey
but the work is being properly done in
the meantime' by competent persOns.

election trial, and. the Reformers say
that means another election. -Just

mitting several small thefts from his
parents. struck out last week with his
lather's horse and buggy. He. was
traced to. Owen Soundwhere he had
traded the horse for another and ten,
dollars, next to Collingwood where he

small sum of , money. Finally a con -

is to be hoped that the youngster , will

A travelling medicine Man named Mc-
Iienzie was intilcted in the sum of 30
• dollars last week for undertaking to
practise'rnedicine without proper cre-
dentials.. He has not yet retired ,from
the field however.
