on Wednesday morning last, and in
his departure ,Lucknow loses one of
her oldest and most prominent citizens,
Mr. Berry has been a resident of the
village almost continuously for over
a quarter of a century, and was uni-

business man and citizen, During hi§
long residence in the village he always
took an active interest in the welfare
of the place, and for many years held
a seat at both the Conned and School
board. Few men has ever left thc
village whose going away will be more
generally regretted than that of Mr.
Berry, but what is Liicknow's loss will
be 3Ianitoba's gain. He was also a
charter member of the Oddfellow's
Lodge here, and on Monday evening
last, about twenty five prominent
