Ile was driving a team of horses belonging to Mr. Frank.Greer, livery man, along the Kinloss boundary., when4,he noticed a, stone caught in the shoq. of one of the animals, and got out of, the rig to take it out, but while in the act of re- moving the: stone the horses oecame frightened and ran away. He was thrown .down and one of the wheels struck him in the back, but fortunately -without- doing him any serious injury. The horses ran into the village and were captured by Constable Lyons at the bridge near the grist mill, • but in doing so Mr. Lyons received a serious 'injury to his arm.
