HomeMy WebLinkAboutClinton News Record, 2016-09-28, Page 9Contributed photo With Thanksgiving just around the corner, The Salvation Army Community and Family Services will be holding a 'Give Thanks' food drive outside of the Foodland in Clinton this upcoming Friday, September 30, and Saturday October 1 from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm both days. Volunteers will be asking customers to consider purchasing one item to help replenish the shelves of the food bank at 34 Albert Street. "Many of us don't need to be concerned on a daily basis that there is not enough food in our households to eat," said Lieutenant David Hickman. "So as a way of giving thanks for the material blessings we so readily take for granted, we are asking our fellow community members to 'Give Thanks' for this fact by donating an item to the food bank".
