Hullett Central and Clinton Public
schools were both greeted by a tractor
hauling a trailer on Wednesday, Octo-
ber 12. The kids had been collecting
food items to donate to put in the
trailer, and the items were sent off to
local foodbanks.
This annual event is put on by Farm
Credit Canada (FCC) in communities
they operate in across Canada; it is
called "FCC Drive Away Hunger" This is
their 13th year holding the event which
runs from October 11-14.
FCC partners with schools and busi-
nesses in this food drive, and while not
every place has a tractor come pick up
their food, this year Huron County was
chosen for a tractor tour. Huron Tractor

MUNICIPALITY OF BLUEWATER
CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR
REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRPORT LINE BRIDGE
NOTICE OF STUDY COMMENCEMENT
THE PROJECT:
The Municipality of Bluewater has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process to
consider options associated with replacement of the Airport Line Bridge which spans the Ausable River
along Airport Line, immediately north of the Dashwood Road (Huron County Road 83) northwest of Exeter
(as shown on the accompanying key plan). Recent engineering inspections of the structure have identified
significant deterioration with many bridge components, necessitating replacement of the crossing. Due to the
extent of work needed to replace the structure, it is anticipated that Airport Line would be completely closed
to traffic for a period of 4-5 months during construction of a new bridge. Detours would be provided on
adjacent local roads. At this time, replacement of the crossing is tentatively scheduled for the 2018.
THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCREENING PROCESS:
The planning for this project is following the planning process established for Schedule B activities under
the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) document. Schedule B projects are approved
subject to the completion of a screening process. The purpose of the screening process is to identify any
potential environmental impacts associated with the proposal and to plan for appropriate mitigation of any
impacts. The process includes consultation with the public, Aboriginal communities, stakeholders and
review agencies. This notice is being issued to advise of the start of study investigations. There will be
additional opportunities for public input and involvement as the study progresses.
PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT:
Public input and comments are
invited for incorporation into the
planning and design of this project
and will be received until
November 18th, 2016, at the
