Toss Night. The winners of this game along with the visitors from the north was the Christmas Bureau who accumulated a lot of paja- mas when Tyler Doig scored the Radars' first goal in the first period. Earlier on in the week, the Radars found them- selves five less points in the standings as they were confirmed by the W.O.A.A. office in Wingham that they played an illegal player for three games at the beginning of the season. The game itself was a well -played game as both goalies, Marc Nother and the Saugeen goalie, each game up with many big saves. The shorts were fairly even with Clinton outshooting the visitors 46-44. The game was only 2:59 old when the Radars took a 1-0 lead. While killing a penalty, Tyler Doig brought down a raft of pajamas from the stands as he scored an open net tap in when Kurtis Bartliff drew the goalie out of the net and then sent an easy pass to Doig for the goal. Tyler Bryson also drew an assist in the goal. At 17:28, Saugeen Shores tied the game 1-1 also on a shorthand effort. In the middle stanza, Kyle Provily scored a power play goal at 18:19 to give the Radars a 2-1 after two. Newcomer Matt Kennedy who once played with Doig worked the puck around in the perimeter before set- ting up Provily with a blast. In the third period, Doig scored his second goal of the game at 2:58 to give the Radars a comfortable 3-1 lead. But Saugeen was not to be denied as they scored two goals to tie the game at 3-3 entering overtime. In overtime, Trent Hawke scored at 1:38 as his slap shot beat Nothers Joey's Corner Joe Livermore cleanly from two feet out to make the final score 4-3 in favour of Saugeen Shores. The Radars travelled to Seaforth Saturday night to take on Huron East. RADARS 3 SEAFORTH 2 The Radars travelled to Seaforth on Saturday, November 19 and won a much needed victory downing the Centenaires 3-2. It took a power play goal by Kurtis Bartliff at 18:45 of the third period to solidify the win. Marcus Salo fed Bartliff a one - timer from the left hand circle and his shot found a wide open net to send the Radars fans home happy. The Radars opened up the scoring in the first period on a power play goal by Stefan Solitury at 7:37. Clinton made it 2-0 early in the middle frame when Ryan Murphy scored on a screen shot from the bottom of the left hand dot after taking a pass from Kurtis Bartliff. However the Centenaires fought back and tied the score 2-2 at the end of the two periods. Seaforth's first goal was a fluky one as Josh Gayner's shot from behind the goal line bounced off Radars' goalie Marc Nother's back at 15:46. Before the period had ended, Calvin Penny's goal at 16:47 tied the game while the Radars were playing short handed. In the third, Clinton's goalie Marc Nother came up with three game saving stops before Bartliff scored the winner. The Radars' next home game is on Fri- day, December 2 when the Petrolia Squires come to town. Game time is 8:30.
