A trailer that served as a
year-round residence was
destroyed in a fire on Mon-
day, November 14 in the
afternoon.
The North Huron Fire
Department was called by
multiple people to the trailer
fire at 38348 Blyth Road one
kilometer west of Auburn.
They were called just
before 2:00 in the afternoon,
and fire crews were on scene
until approximately 3:45
p.m.
"Due to the fire being on
the curve of a hill on a high-
way, it made it more difficult
for our crews to set up," said
Deputy Chief Chad Kregar.
The fire started after the
occupant of the trailer had
an open-air burn outside
which spread to the trailer
when the wind blew it
towards the home.
The trailer was a "total
loss" according to Fire Chief
David Sparling. The dollar
estimate is unknown.
