CHUTER, Florence Irene - Born
October 26, 1921, passed away peacefully
surrounded by her family on Sunday May
15, 2016 at Chartwell Long Term Care
London, Ontario. Daughter of the late
Edward & Elsie Yungblut (a.k.a. Youngblut),
predeceased by brothers, Leonard &
Stanley Yungblut, sister-in-law to the late
Isabel & Betty. Beloved wife of the late
James Knox Williams, and the late Thomas
Chuter. Loving mother of Carol Smith (Clint)
of Ilderton, Dwight Williams (Diane) of
Goderich, and Sharon Connolly (Mike) of
London. Survived by her dear sister Fern
Dale of Clinton. Proud grandmother of Lori
(Steve) Gardiner, Katie (Rob) Parsons,
Meaghan (Russ) Wisselink, sadly
predeceased by grandson Paul Campbell
(2006), and granddaughter Debbie Williams
(2015). Loving great-grandmother of Alex,
Austin, Courtney, & Carson Gardiner,
Romeo & Keegan Wisselink, Myles & Luke
Parsons. Stepmother of Wayne Chuter
(Brenda) and Ron Chuter. Step -
grandmother of Darlene, Chrystal, Travis,
Sherry, Dianne, Kimberley, & Debra. Also
Florence will be sadly missed by her nieces

COMERFORD, Shirley (Ashton), Beloved
wife of the Late James Comerford (1999)
passed away suddenly on May 3, leaving
two daughters, Angela (William) McConnell
and Tara Comerford. Sadly missed by 4
grandchildren. Dear sister of Marilyn (Don)
Forbes and Keith (Cele) Ashton. Cremation
has taken place with burial in Clinton Ce-
metery on May 14. Celebration of Life was
held at Huron Fish and Game.
ST AMAND, Amanda "Amy"
Elizabeth (nee Stryker - Harkes) -
October 4 1982 - May 11 2016. Suddenly,
in Toronto. Passionate idealist, free spirit,
social justice advocate, educator, traveler,
writer, Harvard graduate, Amy is much
loved and will be missed enormously by her
children Stephen (7), Claire (4); their father
Steve St Amand; her friend Amr Arafa;
mother Joanne Stryker (Andrew Blakey);
father Keith Harkes; brothers Lewis (Ava),
Jason (Shawna), Oliver, Mitchell, and sister
Madison; grandparents Herman and Janet
Stryker; aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews,
niece, and friends and colleagues around

STECKLE, Sarah Elizabeth "Betty"
(Gingerich) - Passed away peacefully,
with family by her side, at South Huron
Hospital, Exeter, on Sunday, May 15, 2016,
formerly of RR 1 Varna, in her 77th year.
She was born August 9, 1939 in Stanley
Township. Beloved wife of the late William
Lewis Steckle (April 9, 2013). Cherished
mother of Robert and Brenda Steckle of RR
1 Bayfield, and Dianne and Doug Sparling
of Tavistock. Loving grandma to Trevor,
Patrick, and Brendan Steckle; and
Chantelle, and Blair Sparling. Dear sister
and sister-in-law of Jean Gingerich, and
Mel and Audrey Melick; Paul and Kathy
Steckle, Esther Steckle, Ferne and Lloyd
Mumaw, Jim and Carolyn Steckle, Mary
Steckle, and Gary Foshay. Missed by her
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her
parents Edna (Schwartzentruber) and
Amos Gingerich, her stepmother Della
Gingerich, her infant brother Douglas, and
her brother-in-law Ken Gingerich, her
mother and father-in-law Lydia and Daniel
Steckle, and mother-in-law Seleda (Shantz)
Steckle. Betty drove school bus for 35
years, enjoyed birds, and visiting with her
many friends and neighbours. Friends
called at the HASKETT FUNERAL HOME,
49 Goshen Street North, Zurich on Friday,
May 20. The funeral service was held at the
Zurich Mennonite Church, 37818 Zurich-
Hensall Road, Zurich on Saturday, May
21st at 11 AM with Pastor Ryan Jantzi
officiating. Interment Zurich Mennonite
Cemetery. Donations to Zurich Mennonite
Church, Canadian Diabetes Association, or
Blessings Community Store would be
appreciated by the family. Condolences
