Roads Supervisor
The Municipality of Bluewater is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the
position of Roads Supervisor. This position will report directly to the Manager of Public Works and
will oversee the day-to-day work activities of the roads employees. The incumbent will administer
and participate in a variety of construction, maintenance and repair services to the roads,
municipal drains, landfill sites, and other municipal infrastructure. The operation of equipment
and machinery will be also be necessary on a required basis.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• Secondary school graduate and five (5) years' experience in construction or municipal
road works, including supervisory or lead hand experience.
• Has or is working towards Certified Road Supervisor designation.
• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of heavy and medium equipment, vehicles and
machinery used in operations and maintenance functions.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Confined Space Entry.
• Good communication and public relations skills in order to deal tactfully with the public.
• Must hold a minimum DZ driver's license. Must have a clear Driver's Abstract.

Plans, Specifications, and Tender Forms may be obtained at the office of GM BluePlan Engineering
Limited, 145 Thames Road West, Exeter on Thursday, May 12, 2016, after 10:00 a.m. for a non-
refundable fee of $50.00 (includes HST).
A tender deposit in the amount of $25,000 shall accompany all tenders, in the form of a certified cheque
or Bid Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100%
Labour and Materials Payment Bond for the total value of the contract.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Construction is anticipated to commence
by July 4, 2016 and be totally complete by November 25, 2016.

SHIPP, William "Bill" Stuart - At
Clinton Public Hospital on Saturday, May 7,
2016 William "Bill" Stuart Shipp of Clinton in
his 59th year. Beloved husband to Debra
(Harris) Shipp. Adoring dad to Rob (Karen)
Mason, James Mason, Crystal Gridzak and
J.J. Gristey. Lovingly missed by many
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also survived by eight siblings and their
families. Bill loved to play golf and enjoyed
reading. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral Service was held at The First
Baptist Church, Clinton on Thursday, May
12, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Wally
DeWolfe officiating. lnurnment followed at
the Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Clinton Public Hospital
Foundation or The Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated.
