Gerald Rathwell and Cor Vanderhovenwere first with 40 pts, second place with 35 pts Dave Whyte and Doug Trewartha, 3rd with 31 pts Doug Mills and Alex Ostrom, 4th place a tie of 28 pts were Gary Prerscator and MaryHelen McLachlan and a husband and wife couple Jean and Murray Perdue. The Club will meet for a dinner catered to by the Brucefield Community United Church Women on Tuesday, March 29 and crokinole to follow. Cards were enjoyed at the Odd Fellows Hall in Brucefield last Thursday evening. High lady was June Thomas, low lady Janet Webster, High man was Alec Townsend and low man was Mac Webster, Most lone hands was Evert VanSligenhorst. Draws were won by Joan Beierling, Evert VanSligenhorst and Joan VanSli- genhorst. The next card party will be March 31 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone welcome! The Stan Lee Seniors will once again be hosting their annual Jamboree Wednesday, April 12 from 1- 3:30 p.m. at the Varna Complex. Everyone welcome! A Dramatic Presentation was held at the Good Fri- day Service in the Brucefield Community United Church "Theives at Cross Purposes" was acted out by the cast of David Townsend (One Thief) Rev Randy Banks (other thief) Doug Norman (voice of Jesus) and Joe Laurie the Centurion and fully dressed as one. This was very well done with lots of meaning. Scripture readers were Eileen Townsend, Brenda Wright, Connie Townsend,Doug Norman and Karen Mercurio. Easter Sunday Sunrise Service followed by Easter Sunday Sunrise Breakfast. Over 70 were served a lovely breakfast by the Stewards. This breakfast raised over $400 to go towards Camp Menesetung. The regular Church Service was held at 10:30 a.m. with Rev Randy Banks lighting the Christ Candle, Reader Joyce Hummel, Organist Shirley Hill and greet- ers were Stuart Wilson and June Cooper. Reflections on Randy Banks Words were "The Son Always Rises On Easter" Communion was celebrated. Birthday Wishes were extended to Brenda Wright as well as Anniversary Wishes extended to Ruby and Gordon Hill celebrating 71 years. Next Sunday, April 3 will be a Special Service for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank Upcoming Meetings are U.C.W. ThankofferingApril 5 at 7:30 p.m. Special music provided by Shelley McPhee-Haist and her daughter Elizabeth. Guest speaker will be Suzanne Simpson speaker on Mental Health Next Film Friday is April Fool's Day at 6:30 p.m. A quirky film rated PGwillbe shown suitable for that day.
