We reached our goal of raising 2000 lbs of food for the Huron County food bank. As a matter of fact, on March 11 we shipped 2130 lbs of food to be distributed throughout Huron County. Just before it got loaded onto the truck, we met in an assem- bly and thanked God for pro- viding us with so many bless- ings so that we in turn could bless others. March break marked the end of Monday after school skating. Each Monday between Christmas and March break about 80% of our students loaded the buses and enjoyed an hour of skating at the Clinton arena. Grades 1 - 3 just finished their study of magnets and hosted the rest of the school as they demonstrated what they had learned by showing off the toys they built using mag- nets. They did a great job of explaining how magnets were used to make their toys work. Our grade 7 and 8 class is preparing for their Ottawa/ Montreal trip in May. A lot of fundraising goes into that and one of the events was a crafting event for adults, hosted at the school on a Sat- urday. This popular event raised $1100 for this trip. Thank you to the event organ- izers, as well as those who came out for the day. With March break, a PD day, and a snow day in March, it's been a shorter month for school activities. But we are busy planning a flash mob Easter dance that we hope to perform in a variety of places throughout the county on the Tuesday after Easter. It's all part of our celebration of Jesus rising from the dead. We'll tell you more about that next month. MS hues hare.
