The band performed excep- tionally well and received a Gold standing along with some very positive remarks from their adjudicators. This Gold standing earns the band an invitation to com- pete at the National music festival within the next two years. The St. Anne's Jazz Band also competed at the festi- val and earned a Silver standing. This group of 10 musicians performed three challenging jazz pieces and were awarded a silver standing. "We have an exceptional group of young musicians at St. Anne's that come out of some amazingly musical communities in Huron County. It is a privilege to watch their hard work and dedication to music pay off," stated Josh Geddis, Music teacher at St. Anne's. The music program at St. Anne's continues their busy spring season with several small performances in April. Their musical perfor- mance season concludes on Friday, May 13 with their annual May Melodies concert at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. Admission is $5, chil- dren under 12 are free.
