Seventh Healthcare Inspiration Event to honour caregivers
Special to
Clinton News Record
The Huron Perth Area Pro-
viders Table, Healthcare
Human Resources Subcom-
mittee has organized its
Annual Healthcare Inspira-
tion Event to recognize our
outstanding healthcare pro-
fessionals and caregivers. On
Tuesday, May 17, 2016, offi-
cials from across both coun-
ties will gather with candi-
dates who have been
nominated. The event will be
held at Greenwood Court in
Stratford. The doors open at 6
p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The Healthcare Inspiration
Awards Event was established
in 2009 through the Health -
Kick Huron program.
Nominations are now being
accepted for those that have
shown accomplishments,
dedication and commitment
to their profession and their
work in healthcare. Nomina-
tions can be made
in 3 categories that include
Individual Nominations,
Team Nominations, and
Organization Nominations.
Specific Nominations include:
Rookie of the Year, Team
Work, Life Time Achievement,
Growth and Fulfillment,
Inspiration, and many others.
This event will provide our
communities the opportunity
to honour those individuals,
teams, and organizations who
give so much. Nomination
deadline is Friday, April 1,
2016 at 12 noon.
Students are invited to
apply for two (2) $500 scholar-
ships. The scholarships will be
awarded to one (1) Huron
County and one (1) Perth
County resident who will be
attending a post -secondary
institution in healthcare or a
healthcare related field in the
fall of 2016. Applications will
be accepted until April 1, 2016
at 12 noon. Scholarships will
be awarded at the Healthcare
Inspiration Event and are
provided through the Huron
Perth Area Providers Table.
The former HealthKick Pro-
gram has sponsored the event
again this year and the plan-
ning committee welcomes
additional sponsorships from
across Huron and Perth. Two
years ago nearly thirty people
were nominated and they
were all recognized for their
contribution to their profes-
sion. Seventy-five people
attended the event including
distinguished presenters and
participation from provincial
and municipal governments,
and healthcare officials. The
time to honour our healthcare
workforce is every time we
need them, and this is an
event to show we need them
all.

Scholarship Applications can
