HCFA hosts
politicians at
annual meeting

Clinton News Record
The annual meeting of the
Huron County Federation of
Agriculture with local repre-
sentatives of various levels of
government is appreciated
by both the members of
HCFA and the politicians.
The 2016 meeting was held
on February 26 at the Clin-
ton branch of the Royal
Canadian Legion.
This meeting is the perfect
venue for representatives of
all of the commodities and
productions to bring their
ideas and concerns to the
attention of political repre-
sentatives to take back to
their level of government to
make improvements in the
future of agriculture. Both
MP Ben Lobb and MPP Lisa
Thompson asserted that this
is a wonderful opportunity
to have the agricultural com-
munity present their briefs
and to have discussions and
ask questions as a group. The
information can then be
taken back to parliament.
Presentations were given
by the HCFA Property/Land
Use Committee, HCFA Pub-
lic Relations Committee,
HCFA Farm Finance Com-
mittee, Huron County Egg
Farmers, Grain Farmers of
Ontario, Huron County Pork
Producers, Huron County
Dairy Producers as well as by
Lobb and Thompson.
Watch for further details
on the presentations in the
spring edition of the Farm
Progress, which will soon be
distributed through the Post-
media newspapers.
