Shuffleboard Club news for June 21
Joan McCauley
Special to the News Record
There were 53 members in
attendance for shuffleboard this
week and eight members won
three games each. They were Gerrit
Dykman, Jim Fielder, Al Weeks, Jim
Black, Gerdien Dykman, Audrey
Black, Don Rose and Jim Howard.
This past week there was a tourna-
ment in Elora and several of our
players took part. In the main ama-
teur event, Gerrit and Gerdien
Dykman came in second and Henry
and Leida Gerrits came in third.
Congratulations to both teams.
Huronia Propane has generously
provided our club with gift certifi-
cates for money off propane fill ups
and this weeks winner was Jay
McCauley. We want to thank them
for their generosity.
There was no regular shuffle-
board as we held a tournament on
June 28, 29 and 30 so regular shuf-
fleboard resumes on July 5.
