Abylawis in place that allows only four mobile canteen licences to be issued each sum- mer season. CAO Larry McCabe said tra- ditionally licence holders from the previous year are given the opportunity to renew it before anyone else gets chance to request one. One vender has renewed it, another has written to the town confirming they intend to renew, and a third has verbally confirmed they intend to renew their licence. The fourth licence holder has failed to return attempts by town staff to con- tact them, McCabe said. Councillor Michele Hansen said she thought the licence should be given to the Wicks because the town hasn't received a response for the fourth licence holder. Councillor Myles Murdock questioned why there were only four licences granted, citing the fact that there used to be only three granted. Council could decide to add one more, he said. Council granted the Wicks' request for a mobile canteen licence. McCabe said if the former fourth licence holder wanted a licence now that it has been granted to someone else, they would need to come before council.
