Libro Credit Union reopens

The Libro Credit Union in Clin-
ton is thrilled to leave the trailer they
have been operating out of for good.
The credit union's building has
been undergoing renovations, so
they have been working from a
trailer since last September. How-
ever the local business celebrated
their grand re -opening on June 23,
and their working space is better
than ever.
"The new look and layout are
certainly exciting for us, and it's
great for our community as well,"
said Branch Manager Sandy Dear -
ling at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
"Here at Libro, we are all about
community [..] Libro is focused on
growing prosperity in Clinton and
across southwestern Ontario by
transforming banldng"
At the ceremony, the bank also
announced the winner of their
"Libro is Local" photo contest, in
which they asked residents to
showcase what the region means to
them through photography. The
winner, Bill Crawford, received $250
A part of the re -opening includes a silent auction for nine Peter Snyder
prints. All the money raised by the auction will go to local charities.
cash plus a $250 donation to the
charity of their choice. Crawford's
photo will also be displayed in the
building's new community room.
The branch is also featuring a
silent auction for the month of June
for nine Peter Snyder prints. To view
the prints, ask a staff member and
they will bring you to the room
where the prints are displayed.
Funds raised will benefit local char-
ities and non-profit organizations
- one organization per print for a
total of nine donations.
Those nine organizations include
Victim Services of Huron County,
Friends of the Community Food
Bank, Royal Canadian Legion
Branch, Bow Wow Rescue, Room 2
Grow, Dave Mounsey Memorial
Fund, Huron Hospice Volunteer
Service, Huron Women's Shelter,
and Crime Stoppers of Huron
County.
