Erica Bechtel, who is the daughter-in-law
of owner Sandy Garnet, was one of many
people who helped Garnet move the store.
In her arms is her daughter, Thalia Bechtel.
The store moved to 9 Albert Street not far
from their previous location on highway 8.
They moved because their previous building
sold, and the new owner is planning on
putting a business there. Made in Huron has
been in Clinton for 19 years and has around
40 vendors, and Garnet commented that
business "is always getting better".

Every semester, students from
C.H.S.S. are out in the commu-
nity working. They are hired for
these jobs through C.H.S.S.'s
co-op program.
This semester, there were 24
co-op students. Several students
were hired for the summer as a
result of the program, and one
student was even signed on as
an apprentice.
On June 17, there was a hot
buffet breakfast served to stu-
dents and supervisors who par-
ticipated in the program to say
thank you. The breakfast is a tra-
dition each semester. They also
handed out calendars and
plaques to employers.
Some employers have been
with the school for decades.
They are in Clinton, Goderich,
Blyth and other towns nearby.
"It's important to show appre-
ciation and give back to the
employers in some way to thank
them for their time and effort,"
said Shane Taylor who is the
department head of co-op at the
school.
Co-op gives students real
world experience, references
and things to put on a resume.
For some students, they get two
or four credits as well. Co-op
gives them the opportunity to
try a job out to see if they like it
before entering post -secondary.
If students are in a special
high -skills major at C.H.S.S, they
need co-op to graduate. Col-
leges and universities are recog-
nizing special high skills major
and giving them scholarships
and perks.
Some students even got jobs
