Randy Banks led the Service at Brucefield Community United Church Sunday Janu- ary 3. Samantha Chuter lit the Christ Candle, greeters were Doug McAsh and Ruby Lefaive and the reader was Carol Simons. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was cele- brated for the Christmas Sea- son. Rev Randy,s Reflections were "God's Dwelling Place Is With Us'. The Choir Anthem was "Go Tell It On the Mountain': Rev Randy thanked all for his Christmas gifts as well as Sympathy Cards/ Birthday Wishes were extended to Helen Faber and Nora Keys. Congrats to Linda Keys on the birth of her new grand- son born to son Dan and wife Erica. Last Sunday, December 27, Birthday Wishes were extended to Joyce Hummel and Mary Moffatt both cele- brating birthdays January 1. Anniversary Wishes were extended to George and Carol Simons and Doug and Barb Norman. Sunday, January 10, 2016, there will be a Baptism in the Brucefield Community United Church. A Stewards Meeting will be held January 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Council Meeting January 19 at 7:30 p.m. The Varna Crokinole Club will meet Tuesday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Odd Fellows Card Party in Brucefield will resume again on Thursday, January 14 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone welcome! The next Film Friday evening is planned for Friday, January 22 at 6:30 p.m. This is another family oriented movie but bear- ing in mind Rev. Randy does not have a collection of new releases. The purpose of these evenings is fun and fellowship. There is no admission charge but dona- tions may be made for the Tuckersmith Refugee Project. All Church Committees are reminded to have their 2015 Annual Reports emailed to Ashley at bcuc@tcc.on.ca no later than January 31. Entry is through a foyer, where the den is to the left. Directly ahead, through an archway, is a coat cupboard, as well as the U-shaped staircase up to the second -floor sleeping bedrooms. A second archway leads into the dining - room and kitchen, while just beyond, under a dramatic vaulted ceiling, is the great room. Ceilings, except in the great room, are nine feet high. The design also includes an unfinished basement.
