Laura Hickman with daughter Lily and Christmas Kettle
Campaign Coordinator Jennifer Pritchard celebrate the record year in
2015 for the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.
David Hickman, Lieutenant
The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is cel-
ebrating a very successful
2015 Christmas Kettle Cam-
paign after surpassing its
$73,500 target. After tallying
up the last of the contribu-
tions, the total for this years
campaign was over $82,500.
Once again the commu-
nity has demonstrated great
support for the ongoing
work of The Salvation Army.
All money raised in this
campaign stays in the local
community and helps main-
tain the two Community and
Family Services offices in
Goderich and Clinton.
Lieutenant David Hick-
man said "we would not
have been able to achieve
this record breaking total if it
were not for the countless
volunteers and groups who
helped stand at the kettle
locations. Everyone worked
so very hard to achieve this
tremendous success, we
gave the campaign 110 per-
cent of our effort and it paid

With so many charities
soliciting the public's dona-
tions, Lt. Hickman says "it's a
great responsibility and priv-
ilege to be trusted with an
individual's charitable giving
and we do not take that for
granted. We are very mindful
of the level of confidence
that the public has in The
Salvation Army and they can
be assured that we treat all
donations with integrity and
accountability."
Despite the national and
regional economy not being
the greatest, the community
really came through for the
Christmas Kettle Campaign,
and The Salvation Army is
deeply grateful for the tre-
mendous support it has
received throughout 2015.
Together we are making a
big difference in the lives of
many within our commu-
nity; and with this record
breaking year we will have
the capacity to help a little
more. It's time to celebrate
the wonderful community
we live in!
