CPS Green
Team raises
awareness
Valerie Gillies
Clinton News Record
The environmentalists
group at Clinton Public
School calls themselves the
Green Team. They come up
with projects to raise
awareness of environmen-
tal issues in the school and
community.
The team members found
a lot of garbage on school
property and all throughout
the town. In one example,
the litter was only a few steps
away from a garbage can.
It was observed that much
of the garbage was from fast
food items. It was also
observed that the majority of
the litter was on the route
most taken by people com-
ing from Tim Hortons to
both Clinton Public School
and Central Huron Second-
ary School.
The Green Team wants
everybody to stop littering.
To try to spread the message,
the team made up posters.
One was put up on the Clin-
ton Public School lawn.
Another was sent to Central
Huron Secondary School to
their environmental team.
